I was reading an article on bracketology and it said that if Baylor wins the Big 12 conference tournament championship they will replace Louisville on the one line. I don’t care about that as long as we still play part of the tournament in Louisville. Does anyone know if we will play in Louisville or not?

If true, I think you can move Louisville to a #2 seed. Baylor plays Texas Tech (11-17) for the Big 12 title.

Yea, I read if they win their last game and the. Win the tourney that could happen. If it does, it does. The ACC, to me, is a far superior conference compared to the Big12. Placing them ahead of us os somewhat laughable - BUT - beat Miami and this isn’t a conversation.

The best chance we have for remaining a 1 seed is having Miami beat NCST, and UK beating So Carolina today.

Regrettably, the hottest team in America might be UK; their beating LSU and Tennessee handily is right up there with Miami. If UK beats So Carolina it gets them into the NCAA, and makes it more difficult to drop UL from it’s 1 spot.

Kentucky is a strange story. They were really bad all season but started playing well a couple of weeks ago. They seem to be as good as Ryan Howard is that day. I doubt they will win today, but they would be a tough 10 seed if they do.

Baylor is 24-5 and now coached by Nikki Collen, who was an assistant here from 2003-05 when her husband Tom was the head coach of the Cards. Longtime Baylor head coach Kim Mulkey is now head coach at LSU.

Baylor still has a Big 12 WBB Tournament to play as well.

In the AP Top 25, the Cards are #4 at 25-4. #5 belongs to Baylor at 24-5. #6 is LSU (25-6), who was eliminated from the SEC Tournament by Kentucky. And UConn checks in a #7 at 23-5. Paige Bueckers is back and the Huskies play Marquette today in the Big East Championship.

How important is a conference tournament win in the NCAA Tournament seedings?

With Selection Sunday now slated for 3/13/21 *(same day as the men's selection) the WBB committee may just use Tournament winners as their top four.

An interesting scenario awaits.

I still think the Cards deserve a #1 seed, send them to Wichita and put Baylor in the region as a #2 seed. Of course, I am NOT on the selection committee and we all know how much the NCAA loves UConn WBB.

It would NOT shock me to see UConn get the #1 seed in Bridgeport, the NCAA moves NC State to Wichita and makes Baylor the #2 seed....the Cards ending up in Seattle as a #2 seed to Stanford. That's just how stupid the NCAA is.

Stanford (27-2) plays Utah today for the Pac 12 Tournament championship.

We'll see.

I agree Sonja I like to call it politics, look for them to pair us up against sUcK somewhere along the way.

I am certain of one thing; UL is not going to retain its #1 seed after losing to Miami. NCST’s 3rd consecutive ACC Tournament Champions earned it again, and quite frankly we did not.

Like it or not, regular season wins and losses are becoming secondary to these Conference Tournaments Championships. We beat UConn on the road, but I expect the mere fact that some media believe they could jump over us, is a testament as to how so many put more emphasis on these tournament performances.

The hits keep coming in terms of Louisville hoops. Frigging UK beats South Carolina and wins the SEC tournament. The Cards couldn't hold a 15 point lead with 5 minutes to go against Miami.

It's like the sports Gods are doing everything they can to make UofL fans suffer. What's next? UK men winning the final 4?

I'm about ready to boycott collegiate sports. It's not fun anymore.

The UK/South Carolina 4th quarter was eerily similar to the 4th quarter of Louisville/Miami. A big lead by the superior team just kept evaporating and evaporating. And once the game got close, the other team had all of the confidence and momentum.
