I don't have to "reach" that far...all the way back to last Wednesday.

WHAT zipp likes to do is bring fans back down to Earth. We had a few lift off again after Saturday.

Zipp, bud. Personally I would love see at least one nice thing about this University or even a fellow poster come from your IBM keyboard. You have to realize you piss everyone off at this point with your relentless and thoroughly pompous negativity.
Half of your posts are picking some asinine argument stemming from a negative comment you knew would prod a reaction. The other half is you repeatedly talking down to other members of this "community". It's toxic, counterproductive to any sort of discourse and monontonus. My goal here is to restore perspective when it's minimal to nonexistent. Too often, that's me throwing cold water on uber-optimists and amnesia patients. Of course, those folks don't like being told they're wrong. Find me an uber-pessimist in this space, and I'll likely pull in the opposite direction which you'll like.
And you'll have to explain to me how a guy--me--who posts in less than one-third of the threads on this forum (26 of the last 80 topics) and far less on the football and premium sites is "toxic and counterproductive" and causes you to question your participation. That smells to me a lot more like you're ate up by 'zipp' for some reason, when you have other, more deliberate/constructive options...

1) Of those 26 topics Zipp it's the same content just in a different flavor. You're condescending a fellow fan, beating the "I don't like Vince" drum and claiming it as quantitative realism.
2) The intent of me pointing any of this out is an attempt to get you to stop trolling people and taking threads that have actual interesting information and flooding them with your rhetoric. It makes the entire board a better place, content more focused and sets a postive tone after some long years of tribulation. You're not changing any minds just being a deliberate jerk. If that doesn't "make sense" to you then idk what to tell ya.
3) I respect the fact you're a numbers guy. It's interesting when applicable but I wish that effort was put more towards tournament odds in the new quadrant system, comparative analysis of stat lines or as example even in this thread Mack numbers at Xavier. Ya know, productive conversation.
4) Fandom is inherently irrational. It's supposed to be fun, a hobby, a good time with friends and family, excuse to drink beer whatever. To deliberately pull down "overly optimistic amnesia patients" or in other words fellow fans celebrating a good win is toxic. That has to be self explanatory. You're not a dumb and I would just love to see that effort applied differently and an attempt towards mutual respect for the sake of creating a forum that's not another internet shit show of grumpy old dudes complaining all the time.
That's all I got, Go cards beat everybody and Pitt doesn't look that terrible. Good chunk of the conference has some ugly losses at this point and there's still plenty of time to improve before the conference tournament.
