We hated to lose, but credit Stoops and his kids for refusing to fold. I thought we had all of the momentum at several crucial times in the game, but several times we had defensive laps and TOs that were uncharacteristic of this team.

Louisville offense has been good the last 3 weeks. You can never predict turnovers but their 2 losses was because of turnovers. In that it stopped them for scoring.

We can dissect this game in many different ways but it boils down to making plays UK made the plays and Louisville didn’t.

Jack played well enough to win. We simply didn’t make plays, especially on defense.

The kickoff return for the touchdown was the Killer. We came out in the second half and scored a TD putting us up 10. And there was less than 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. If they had to punt the ball on their first drive they would have been toast. We scored on our second drive of the half also. They would have folded their tent at that point. But the KO Return breathed new life into their team.
