Next man up should be the theme of this team. They just knocked off a Pitt team that is hard to beat on their home floor and players who don't normally get the chance to shine came in and filled the void due to injuries.

Tonight's heroes are Snider, Adel, and Stockman. Honorable mention to Johnson who was playing well before foul trouble derailed his game. Nanu was solid, and in spite of the HUGE free throw disparity which favored the Panthers, the Cards won the game.

This was a gut check win. This team is one of my favorites of all time.

Go CARDS!!!

YES! I can't believe I left the baby face assassin off my OP. I knew he would have a game like this where he would be called on to hit a couple of big time shots to help secure a win and he did just that. The kid has some serious offensive game and he plays scrappy defense too. Love the baby face assassin!!

Who IS this team, that is closing out halves so strong these days? I'm not used to that. And yes, a lot of clutch plays from unlikely heroes. We did what we had to do...get another road win at a really hard to win place, against a team that really needed the win as well.

Yes sir! Really good win. Was getting a little nervous when the score was 48-40 but the Cards hit some HUGE shots down the stretch.

My 3 stars of the night
Adel
Snider

The funny thing is that there is probably twice the buzz around this team with no post season to go to than there was for the 2012 Final Four team this time of year. Remember Senior Night against USF and the beat down at Syracuse?

Nothing like going to a Final Four but this team won't soon be forgotten either.

The way this team is playing without Mahmoud, Spalding, and Mathiang makes it even tougher to know that they are not going to be in the tournament. This team has shown it is a legit Final Four caliber club even when the rotation has to change due to injury. Just imagine if Adel was coming on like this and we were at full strength!

I really hope this ban is enough to do the trick, I just don't think I want to go through an entire of season of watching these guys perform and not get to reap the rewards.

This is not a negative on the team, but they're playing with house money. Good games and good halftime closeouts, but the team is playing without pressure. But yes, what if...?

I won't wonder because you can wear yourself worrying about things that you can't control. Yes they had a chance to go far.. So do 15 other teams. We had as good a chance of going on a scoreless drought to close out a game as we did to gel and go on a run. Other questions are there as well, does Mango play and forfeit a year of eligibility, is Mahmoud able to play in the tournament. So no, I don't dwell on "what if"
