Funny how the mind focuses on the negative

I admit to having watched only a fraction of UofL baseball over the past 8 years or so. Usually only getting to tune in for "big" games or post-season play. And I know the mind generally remembers the negative experiences over the more mundane. All that said, these (probably not real) "tendencies" over the years stick out to me:

1) Bad base running. Most of the time, it seems we are too aggressive. Yesterday, we can add just not having our heads in the game.

2) Inability to get that third out. Just seems like most of the damage done to us comes with 2 outs.

3) Working too hard to get that third strike. Seems like in critical at-bats, when our pitchers get ahead 0-2 or 1-2, it suddenly becomes very difficult to get that third strike. The batter manages to foul off everything close, lay off the balls, and work the count to full, often drawing the walk or getting the hit. I don't think it helps that every time we get the count to 0-2 the third pitch is automatically low and at least a foot outside.
