The Field Hockey Cards got goals from three reserves in the 3-1 win over Duke on Sunday at Trager Stadium.

Coach Sowry wasn't exactly pleased with the Cards first half performance and the half ended in a 1-1 score, but Louisville picked up the pace offensively and shut out the Blue Devils in the final 30 minutes, while adding two goals.

Former Louisville Assumption great Erica Cooper got the scoring started for the Cards, tapping in a rebound off a missed Mercedes Pastor shot with just 38 second remaining in the first half.

The Cards tallied twice in the third quarter, Katie Schneider and Emilia Kaczmarczyk connecting off penalty corner attempts. The Cards outshot Duke 16-10 in the match and drew nine penalty corners, compared to just two for Duke.

The Cards bring in #1 and 1-0 UNC on Friday. The TarHeels haven't lost in over two years now and will be a significant challenge to the 2-0 Cards FH squad.
