Sounds like he is working the title for his own autobiography. What a peach he is.Originally posted by Steelers2012:
No need to overreact to this; this is a NIGHTLY segment in which KO designates 3 people DAILY as The Worse, Worser, and Worst People in the World. Bobby Petrino just happened to be the guy who annoyed him the most yesterday.
He's innovative. It's called Platooning scholarships.Originally posted by GoCardsfromNY:
What he and the rest of the media fail to understand is that Bobby Petrino was the first college coach to ever do this. It's a horrible thing Petrino invented and he should be ashamed of himself.
The media does know that.....that's not the story. The story is that Coach Petrino has a lack of credibility with the public. Outside of the UofL fanbase people think he is a liar and a weasel. I think alot of people didn't believe his apology on ESPN a few years ago was sincere and that he said what he had to say to get back into coaching. So, they've been waiting for "Bobby" to reappear as they know him.Originally posted by GoCardsfromNY:

Agree 100% on all fronts. It's what we as fans, and Petrino, signed up for when we hired him back. You HAD to know everybody would be watching and waiting for the chance to mock all the "he is a changed man" talk. What WE think of him as a person is irrelevant, due to the reputation and baggage he came back with. At the time of his rehiring, as a fan you had to decide whether you felt the risk of this type of scrutiny going forward was worth it to have him as our coach. The majority seemed to feel it WAS worth it (myself included), and now it is time to experience the consequences. Time to grin and bear it through the PR sh*tstorm, then celebrate the benefit when football season comes back around.Originally posted by Sultan__of__Swine:

Unfortunately it appears that Petrino may not recognize this fact or doesn't care and in handling the Colburn situation. It has created a $hit storm for him, the team, and the University of Louisville. He can't handle these types of situations like he did before his fiasco at the Falcons or at Arkansas. He can't point at Saban or Butch Jones and say they did the same thing.....because it really has nothing to do with Colburn or the grey shirt, it's all about a leader of young men coming across as being a habitual liar and self-serving.
When Colburn was onsite two weeks ago for his visit that was the time where the grey-shirting probably should have been discussed. It should have been presented by Petrino, not an assistant coach.
It sucks to have to think about every decision you make and how it will be perceived by the media, but that's why he's getting paid as much as he is to do that job. The job he signed up for was to win football games and not allow his past to affect the present or future of the university in a negative way. He has to mitigate that moving forward.

Do facts even enter your mind when you type out crap like this?Originally posted by hintondc:
I am a season ticket holder for football and hate to see this unethical treatment of this kid. If one goes to the Daily Norseman (Minnesota Viking blog) you will see what head coach Don Zimmer thinks of Bobby...not much! I hate to see this aspect of Bobby rear it's ugly head once more. Deeply disappointed in what he did to Colburn.

Because he is painting a picture that strongly suggests Bobby Petrino and the University of Louisville Cardinals are the only program to ever to do this ever to a recruit. That's why. It's not difficult to understand the hypocrisy. The media does this shit all the time. They pick out ONE story, slant it to fit their own agenda then they blast away.Originally posted by littleton tiger:

I guess I shouldn't ask him if he was aware that 18 other schools gray shirted during recruiting process or why CNBC fired him.... here is what happened....You are blocked from following @KeithOlbermann and viewing @KeithOlbermann's Tweets.Originally posted by Cue Card:

Olberman is one of the worse on TV doing it too. It's his persona in a nut shell.
