The ESPN crew who did the game stated he "made a business decision" on more than one occasion. Yesterday at his weekly presser Brohm said he was "not in agreement" with his decision and his opting out "was not in the best interest of the team". Caulin needs to turn in his gear and move on.

I was surprised he said that. I don't have a problem with him saying he disagreed with opting out because it wasn't in the team's best interest, but I was surprised he used "business decision" to describe why he was opting out.

With the multiple issues Brohm had with transfers that never played a down this year and the transfers from last year that hopped back in the portal this year it makes you wonder if he will switch up the way he's been operating.

I thought he also said he would welcome him back if he decided to stay for the 25’ season

After calling him out for quitting on the team, Brohm was asked if he "expected him back?". Brohm replied he would "welcome him back" which given what he had just said, translates to Frack Off.

ESPN talking heads do not like this new landscape, just like most fans don't, albeit for different reasons. It's just not good for business to have the workers rabble rousing having so much power. So yeah, the ESPN talking heads are going to speak out against any and all players opting out, unless that player is in a serious injury style of situation, or a top pick in the NFL draft and we're talking about a low level or even mid bowl.

JB is a throwback, and you do have to wonder if, or how he's going to be able to tolerate this new culture. This is a guy that would probably play on one leg on his brother's wedding day.

The good news, maybe, for JB, the fans, and maybe the program... we saw a team care in the 2nd half @ BC. It felt like it could be a potential turning point in the wrong direction. But there was Brooks taking a beating on crossing patterns, a FR WR walk-on less talented kid contributing, and a defense that has it's issues, sticking with it after a few blown coverages. If JB had lost the locker room, you probably see the Cards roll over in that one.

Lacy made his decision. I'm just going to try to be thankful for the guys that played their tails off, for at least one night despite Lacy's name coming up I really just focused on a fun game for a change.

Lacy is dead to me.

Even if he “comes back” he could make another “business decision” next year mid-season.

Hit the road jack

Can’t really be mad at the players for taking advantage of the poor system. With that said if you have pro aspirations this isn’t a good business decision. It will be perceived quitting. Agent shutting him down to make more money. I seriously doubt he will be back.

Brohm/coaches are screwed because the power is 100 percent with the players and their agents. All the stuff over the summer was agents going back to get more money after a deal was agreed to. The Barrow stuff could have had an impact on the Purdue edge. Then having his clients stir up shit in the locker room. Boone was he wasn’t happy with his spot on depth chart. Looks like he was over hyped.

The thing with the portal is you have very little time to judge character of the player or their agent. Lacy maybe a really good kid but if his agent is a slim ball guess who is driving business decisions. Coaches are going to get burned.

Brooks is that dude at the WR position. To me he is a throwback, except he is not as cocky as Keshawn or TO but he has the ability to make spectacular catches and plays after the catch.
He reminds me of DeVante Parker, but he may be better! They’ve got the same type build lean about 6’3. They both also catch it at the high point of the pass, catch it with their hands, and both are big time play makers
