Does Louisville have the $$$ to pull off a Brohm deal?

Speaking of Purdue and money, I believe that Purdue will NOT lose a bidding war against U of L for Brohm. For one thing, Purdue's in much better financial condition. And while they may be willing to lose a battle like that against Notre Dame or Ohio State, there's no way they'll lose it against U of L. Purdue will better anything that U of L offers Brohm.

The one winner I'm sure of in this sweepstakes is Jeff Brohm... :D

Really Purdue can’t go cheap and lose him, or the administration will be viewed as just as cheap as the previous one.

We could lose Brohm, but will be because it’s Louisville over money.

Well we haven’t even talked about his staff.

If he does go, and Holt gets interim for the bowl game and wins it/gets HC gig. Then how much of Brohms staff will remain at Purdue. It’s a possibility as the defense has far exceeded expectations. Holt would be in a nice position to offer key assistant coaches promotions and/or raises to stay at Purdue. Louisville will then be in a bidding war for some of the staff that have made Brohm that successful. Purdue could keep Holt, Poindexter, Williams, Barclay, Shepherd etc easily with current funds and the nearly 5 million from Louisville.

Then we get into support staff, including one of the best in Eron Hodges.

A lot of money required to get Brohm and all the pieces that have made him successful.
I don't see Purdue hiring holt. They are going to go find a young up and comer and pay him. They are building a program at Purdue and almost all the pieces are in place. It's a good job to have.

This guy LoL.
Hates on Mack. Hates on Brohm.
Just change your name to Hater.

What's your problem?? You are a real piece of work. You act like Purdue is some high brow program, good grief you're a phony.

Quit chasing me around the Rival's system...stalker!

Stop saying dumb things and I’ll stop calling you out. I never acted like Purdue is some high brow program. I’ve told you countless times that they’ve always been better than IU and will be in the future. You can’t accept that fact for some reason.

Facts about Jeff Brohm.

1. Started 0-3. Lost to Eastern Michigan. Purdue fans started to turn on him a little bit.

2. Beats 3 bad teams. Hes the messiah again.

3. Wins a fluke against OSU thanks to the Tyler Trent story(God bless him though.)

4. Comes back to reality against a decent MSU team.

5. Nobody willingly wants to stay at Purdue.

6. Even if he doesnt go to UofL, he will definitely go somewhere. Shepardsville is nicer than West Laughyette. No offense to B.C. residents. Lol.

Lol at number 3 on your list. Probably the only person I’ve heard call a 29 point annihilation a fluke. Please elaborate on number 5. I’d love to hear your rationale on it.

Petrino is not coming back. It’s over. Simple as that. We will get the money figured out. It’s unfortunate on many levels that it’s come to this but it will get worked out. Lots of smart people that support the cards.
He can not be allowed to come for the simple fact that he can't get quality assistant coaches to work for him.

Where’d I act like Purdue was a powerhouse? They had a good era in the 70’s too but don’t let that ruin your narrative.

Huh? You can not except the fact that I continually tell you the truth, that Purdue is mediocre. You Purdue people cling to this false idea that you're somehow a relative football program and I'm telling you nothing could be further from the truth.
