I mean do you really really want him?

Because it's OK if you don't. That's just fine with me.

We need Brohm. It is the only hire that makes the fan base happy. If someone else gets the job they will be held up to how Brohm is doing elsewhere.

If Brohm leaves this time, I will simply be thankful to him for rebuilding our program, and doing so in a classy manner. Couldn’t have been more proud of the team he put on the field Saturday night.

Yeah I mean he already has a house down there… you have to match the jet tho.
Lol,I had no idea. My point is, if he's interested, it won't be a move to money grab or jet grab.
The contract would probably be heavier on the backside and incentives.

It is a fair question, and my answer is pretty simple .......... sure, provided Jeff and his brothers really want to be here.

I have been consistent, and I will remain so. I was totally against any "Brohm to Louisville" as long as Satterfield was still our coach, particularly with what appeared at the time as an incredible incoming recruiting class.

Now that Satterfield has left without any payout, UL is in a pretty good position to afford a viable candidate, and we no longer have a Head Coach.

Back to my first response; I cannot imagine Jeff leaving Purdue for UL, unless I believe what a few posters (several who I "ignored" on this site) were actually accurate when I doubted there was any validity to Jeff even considering a return to Louisville.

I am a UL fan first and foremost, so despite the problems we have retaining a Head Football Coach ............ here we go again.

I truly believe you could be underestimating the tug that this program has on Brohm. The fact that he passed on it 4 years ago can be explained in his reasoning then, if you believe he's a man of character. I don't know the man personally, but I know the family. I believe what he said 4 years ago about not leaving Purdue after 2 seasons because it wasn't the right thing to do. I believe it speaks volumes about his character. That's just me though.

He is the main choice because he fits. Fans will support and trust him. If I was JH at this press conference at 2:00 Jeff is his #1 choice. You put Jeff on clock if he comes JH pulled a Jurich move and if Jeff doesn’t come it is on him.

All you need to know about today is that:
Purdue fans are nervous.
Kentucky fans are pissed
Indiana fans are relieved
Cincinnati fans are melancholy and
Louisville fans are Excited again.
From what I have read, “melancholy” is too nice for the reaction of Cincinnati fans.

The AD has no choice. The fan base wants Brohm. Anyone else would be met with the hostility Satterfield experienced.
Brohm makes sense.

Oscar and Donna both were on record encouraging Jeff to come home 4 year ago, as it affects all three of their son’s families.

After living in West Lafayette, it would be interesting to see what Influence Brian and Greg might have on Jeff’s opportunity to return home.

Last time Brohm said no, a dude joked on Twitter about burning Trinity to the ground. He was arrested for felony terroristic threatening. For the sanity of the city, Brohm needs to say "yes."

Yeah I see your point. You guys won 3 Conference games in the previous 4 years and went 9-39 before Brohm came there. I can see why you’re ready for new guy.
Uh.. Morgan Burke wasn’t good at hiring after tiller? Nothing about Purdue made danny hope and Darrell hazell failures.. they were terrible hires made by a guy who has been gone for a while

He does not speak for majority of Purdue's fanbase. Most all of us do not want him to leave, BUT, if he does we feel we will be able to attract another good coach.
I think you are right. I also am uncertain about Brohm-to-Louisville being a done deal. There are a lot of good coaches out there.

Nervous? Nah man.. he’s been cool since last time. I’m ready for someone new. Take him
Your an absolute clown. This guy also wants to trade in all non conference games for fcs games. Us Purdue fans love Brohm and hope to keep him. You're an idiot or really young and don't remember Hazell and Hope. You must have also forgot he just won the West and had us competitive vs Michigan and playing in a huge bowl game. Stop being clueless.

Ready for a downgrade? Mr. let's play all fcs non conference games. You're a BC fan, stop pretending to be a Purdue fan. You're a moron wanting to run out our best coach since Mollenkopf. If Louisville gets him, I understand wanting to go home, and appreciate how he rebuilt us, but only clueless idiots actually want to lose him.

Wait until tomorrow
For what? Nobody knows anything for sure but the prospect of JB coming back here should excite our fans. I’m hoping we get it done and not hire the next young up and comer who will be be making googly eyes at the next powerhouse program whose coach got drunk and felt up a co-ed at an after game party.

It might not happen but no one gets Louisville football like JB and Cardinal Stadium would be rocking every week.

We'll take him if he's available but I didn't have a problem with keeping Satterfield. He made a hell of a turnaround when he started working with the defense after the BC game.

If we don't get Brohm Josh Heird made a hell of a mistake letting Satterfield walk. We could do a lot worse. Look no farther than the complete failure we had hiring the basketball coach.

I was fine with keeping Satterfield until today. There was a great turnaround after embarrassing performances against FSU and BC. But he did not deserve an extension or a raise - especially after another debacle against Kentucky. He simply did not want to be here and we needed him to go away if he demanded more money or an extension. And if next year had 9 or 10 wins, he would have bolted then.

Tiller > Brohm

Brohm was cool. But Darrell hazell is far in the rear view and there were issues he’s always had like OL run blocking

Most Purdue fans want him to stay. We do feel however we are in the best position to hire a new coach in a generation. Our previous AD who hired the 9-39 coach, the worst coach in P5 over those 4 years, is no longer with us, and was a notorious penny pincher. (Actually RIP). But based on B1G money we feel we would be in a good position for another hire.

I don't think so at all. Considering the circumstances and how much more competitive the game is today, I think Brohm is better than Tiller. If Brohm had Brees as his QB, just imagine what we could do. Also, if Bell, Karlaftis and Wright don't fail out/leave early for NFL, we likely are undefeated this year and in the CFP. Tiller underachieved and only went 8-4 during the Rose Bowl year with Brees and that O-Line and D-line. Granted Spack was DC and sucked, but with what we had and how down Michigan and OSU were that year, we should have been undefeated and we're favored in every game, but laid eggs vs a bad MSU team, Notre Dame who we should've crushed and MSU who was bad as well. Tiller underachieved whereas Brohm overachieves.
