Understatement.

As already noted feel horrible for the victims of CJ's madness. I also feel bad for this team, to be clear not fans. We are outsiders.

The kids didn't sign on for what they are dealing with now. What a mess. Will be a media circus for them.

I have no idea what they can do to move forward on the season. Hoping they find a way to block things out and enjoy their ride. It's the last go for Wayne, Trez, and Terry.

It really explains a lot about why they played so poorly for so long Monday night. You KNOW the players knew about this. They knew this was coming. Yet they somehow rose above it and found a way to win in spite of what they knew.

Now comes the next step. Now they have to play with this information known to the public too. Now they are the players who used to play with Chris Jones the accused rapist. That's a heavy burden to carry. How will they handle it? This can only go 1 of 2 ways.

1. They rally around each other and rise to the challenge of playing as a team.
2. They quit on each other and lose their desire to compete as a team.

I'm betting on #1 happening.

The distraction was Monday, when they knew (or were pretty sure about it) and had to "sit" on it while all their friends wanted to know what happened. They overcame it.

Now it's out, and the team can worry about BB.

I hope.

Of the few potential positive outcomes, this team could really (finally) bond and rally around each other with all the media attention. CJ was a great player, but he has been a distraction most of the season and seemed at times to be a selfish player based on shot selection. Also, I don't recall ever seeing anybody celebrate with or embrace him or high five him at any point this season (surely they did, but it wasn't common). I think this works for their good if they choose to use it that way. Room for error is certainly slimmer. Foul trouble could sink us at any position.

Been a part of many a team where one of the better players were a pain in the butt. The past stories I've heard about Chris Jones (not the present issue) I doubt ANYONE on the team is sad to see him go. The guy's a punk, plain and simple. With that being said, there are plenty of rumors floating around and they make me believe it's not a given he ever spends one day in prison.
