Disappointing.
Meske did a lot of the coaching.

I think (hope) he just keeps the momentum going. Let’s hope no one jumps ship b/c she left us.
Are you sure he's not going with her? He was at Nebraska with DBK for 3 years before coming to Louisville.
I'll answer this myself. I saw the release where he is staying. I think that bodes well for our program. He already knows the culture here and there will be some pressure to maintain DBK's success.

Was it just going home, or we could not match the money offered? That is a question for AD Heird! We should have matched any offer of money, and went higher to keep her. Press needs to ask questions of AD Heird, and look at the contract that was offered to her at Nebraska!
simply, her contract said she could leave if the nebraska job came open. it was her dream and no way should she be blamed for going home to a place won won a championship at and to a place that she specifically put into her contract that she could leave if it came open. props to her and everything she's done for the school and she should be praised for raising the bar at Louisville.
I am sure Neb is paying her A LOT! Outside of football their WVB is the sport in Lincoln. It was alreadyPut out there that Dan is taking the team. If the players stick around I think he can be very successful. I would love for him to find a former player who wants to coach - Dilfer would be great. Katie would also be great but she is surely making bank with ESPN.
If you followed women's volleyball, you knew this was always going to happen. It was written in her contract. As fans we didn't think it would happen this soon and we were certainly hoping we would have won a NC. She did her best! Kudos to her and wish her luck. She will always be part of the Cardinal family. Lets go Meske!
I knew about the contract language. What I find odd is that everything happened at once. Nebraska coach retires, DBK is named Nebraska HC, Meske is named UofL HC. It all seemed pre-planned, like she had her bags packed before everyone else knew anything. There was no transparency by anyone.
I think its more of neb coach, who has got to be friends with dbk and knows her contract language, told her first and simply that was it. He told her, she told heird, probably hapoened without in a 30 minute span. No conspiracy. Just friends in contact made things go quiccker. But you gotta rhink neb coach's first call was to dbk.
I would suspect Chamberlain to stay, since he's from Louisville, but you never know. Money and opportunity talk.
