Christen Cunningham, a Georgetown, Kentucky, native, pledged on Monday to spend his last year of college eligibility at Louisville, picking the Cardinals over Arizona State and Oregon State. The 6-foot-1 point guard who graduated from Samford University also visited Ohio State.
As a junior at Samford, Cunningham averaged 11.4 points, 6.3 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game. He shot 35.4 percent from 3-point range.
Cunningham is Samford's all-time assists leader and set the school record for assists in a season with 225 over the 2016-17 campaign.
He started Samford's 2015-16 season opener at Louisville, totaling 15 points and six rebounds.
