It’s refreshing to have an intelligent, humble and passionate coach. Payne had none of those qualities and Pitino had intelligence and passion but with a huge dose of arrogance. At this point if you aren’t behind PK as our coach you never will be. It’s great to be able to enjoy watching basketball again!Such a humble guy. That is how you are supposed to do a press conference.
Dont get over YOUR ski's either with that hyperbole/wish/hope. It's been over 10 years since that has been the case....before 2013!.... Very soon 16-18K in the Yum will be the floor for attendance.
Agreed. The university really needs to reduce prices for the upper levels. Been saying this for several years. Get butts in seats at a cheaper costs. Build the fanbase back up. More fans, more excitement and more concessions. It is a win-win. I am not sure why they will not drop prices for the upper levels seats. The issue is not whether the team is good enough to generate fans wanting to get back to going to basketball games. It is greediness of the fans who have season tickets that want to take advantage of the uptick in the program. Even before Covid, I could usually find a lower level court seat in the neighborhood of S25 - 45. Now even against teams outside of the Duke's, UNC's, people are asking $75 and up for a seat. Sorry, I'll just watch on TV instead of $150 for 2 tickets against BC or VT.
The price issue is SQUARELY on the University. Most of the upper not even online for sale, yet "face value" on TM is still $70+ for crowds of only 12,000. They'd rather not pay additional help to cover additional fans that attend at lower ticket prices. It's all $$$ today, not hardly a thought of longterm program growth.. I am not sure why they will not drop prices for the upper levels seats.
