CPK Post Clemson PC

Such a humble guy. That is how you are supposed to do a press conference.
It’s refreshing to have an intelligent, humble and passionate coach. Payne had none of those qualities and Pitino had intelligence and passion but with a huge dose of arrogance. At this point if you aren’t behind PK as our coach you never will be. It’s great to be able to enjoy watching basketball again!

You just know this guy was a gym rat, and that has rubbed off on his players. He’s built a culture so fast. Hopefully they don’t go on a long losing streak that would test it, but this feels real, at least from the outside looking in.

Anyone thinking this squad won’t suffer some losses is nuts. And that is the problem. The extreme ‘fans’ who lose their minds over a loss and immediately find 10 things to bitch about - players not good enough, system is bad, coach can’t handle the acc, Yum is too big, Heird is not good enough, etc. Anyone denying the program is in such a great place in comparison to the last 4 years is crazy. The energy is back, pride is back, effort is back. Very soon 16-18K in the Yum will be the floor for attendance.

Dont get over YOUR ski's either with that hyperbole/wish/hope. It's been over 10 years since that has been the case....before 2013!

The issue is not whether the team is good enough to generate fans wanting to get back to going to basketball games. It is greediness of the fans who have season tickets that want to take advantage of the uptick in the program. Even before Covid, I could usually find a lower level court seat in the neighborhood of S25 - 45. Now even against teams outside of the Duke's, UNC's, people are asking $75 and up for a seat. Sorry, I'll just watch on TV instead of $150 for 2 tickets against BC or VT.

Agreed. The university really needs to reduce prices for the upper levels. Been saying this for several years. Get butts in seats at a cheaper costs. Build the fanbase back up. More fans, more excitement and more concessions. It is a win-win. I am not sure why they will not drop prices for the upper levels seats.

The price issue is SQUARELY on the University. Most of the upper not even online for sale, yet "face value" on TM is still $70+ for crowds of only 12,000. They'd rather not pay additional help to cover additional fans that attend at lower ticket prices. It's all $$$ today, not hardly a thought of longterm program growth.
