Our bracket,if I'm reading it right, has us going against Oregon St. in a first round game. The winner getting the winner of the Coastal Carolina and Arizona game and the losers going into the losers' bracket in a double elimination set up.
If we win our pod,we'd face the winner of the other pod in a best of three scenario for all the marbles. Who's ready?

Yep, the highest remaining ranked teams, Arkansas (#3) and LSU (#6) are on the other side of the bracket along with UCLA (#15). Oregon St is #8 and Coastal is #13. Coastal kind of scares me when you look at their pitching staff numbers but hey I like our chances. Need to win game 1 vs the Beavers...

Game 1 is so crucial. I am still just in a haze at what we have witnessed with this team. If the pitching is good and the bats are awake this group can get to the final weekend. Or, they lose two and go home early LOL. Let’s hope they play at their potential and we will witness some really great baseball.

I watched some of the OSU-FSU game last night. The Beavers are a very formidable opponent to say the least. I would think we throw our best to avoid the loser's bracket.
More of the same, but hopefully an ounce or two better with everyone, pitchers and hitters.

Like everyone here, it's exciting to think how far the Cards will get in Omaha. It would be something to win game one. However, if I'm honest, it's more likely Louisville just making the World Series is the prize for this team.

I hope I'm wrong but the pitching is just not reliable enough. Most of the past world series appearances, Louisville was a serious contender to win it. This team would be more like a Cinderella.

Regardless, I will watch every inning pulling for the Cards. What a great start for sports in 2025 if the baseball team makes a run in Omaha.

With football and basketball waiting their part for a three championship season for the Cardinals of Louisville.

And who knows what Coach Walz is going to have? Remember the year of the Cards 2013?

Guess it would be the years of Cards 2025/26.

So .., does anyone else suspect TheRealVille is reverse jinxing us? If that’s your game, TheRealVille, keep it up because its working.

Come on … this Louisville team beat the tournament’s #1 seed, both on their home field and on ours. We belong right where we are, and absolutely can win the whole thing.

You know, I've been thinking more and more about the Cards chances after seeing the bracket and reading what media is saying.

LSU and Arkansas are the favorites but the Cards would only face them in the final. The Oregon State game is huge. Got to win that and if we do, they're in the drivers seat to the final.

I still worry about pitching. Miami only really had one scary hitter and he really wasn't all that scary. Cards hurlers have to limit the walks or it will be an early departure from Omaha.

Showing 6 PM C time down in the Nashville-area. I'm hoping that we get a couple of runs early and go on from there. Go Cards!

I’ll dispute that. UM’s batters 1-5 were all solid with excellent batting averages. Some of those guys, on any team, are going to get some hits. You must handle the lesser batters. Vs. UM I felt like our pitchers did not handle their 6-9 batters very well. If Louisville can beat Az, Texas, UNC, FSU, etc. then they can beat OSU. If Forbes is on I think he is a too-level pitcher. If he can get his feet off-speed and breaking pitches over for strikes and if he can limit his pitch count. Lots of IFs…

Exactly; Miami hitters were as formidable as any opponent that we have faced. There are no teams left that can be overlooked; just look at the “so-called upsets” that have already taken place thus far for further evidence of just how unpredictable college baseball is today. We gave up 10 runs to Bellarmine at home, but held Vandy to 2 runs in Nashville ………go figure?

Vandy ended up the 1 team in one of the polls based on a good SEC tournament run. Just remember that Texas A&M, Tennessee, Texas, Georgia, UNC and Vandy at one time were ranked #1. None of those teams are still playing. I think LSU and possibly Arkansas depending on the poll you look at were ranked #1 at some point. What does that mean? Anybody can win this thing so lets do it!

Tague, who was just named a Freshman All American, hasn't hit a dinger in some time. I'm hopeful he's able to showcase his power this weekend.

I thought that both Pike and Davis contributed during this tournament, but each one had several disappointing at bats, where they resorted to some old habits when swinging at pitches clearly out of the strike zone. The opposing pitchers have scouting reports that identify the weaknesses and how to pitch to each hitter, conversely and each hitter is aware of those scouting report; yet Pike in particular continues to swing at low sliders early and often. He needs to watch Moore’s plate discipline as his patience is most impressive; often getting to the 2 strike count before becoming aggressive in swinging. Waiting “for your pitch” is easier said than done, but for Pike and Davis it would be well advised.

Think Rose has to be included here as well. He had a couple of moments; but, I think he was off.
And you are correct Bardman. Rose had the one big double, but yeah it would be lovely to see him get hot too. Really, the whole bottom half. I think it says even more about the pitching, going back to the ETSU game.

Actually, the guy who needs to get it going is Lucas. Since we got into Regionals, he's batting .185. Hes only been on base 5 times in 27 ABs. Hes a big part of our offense.

Let’s go! Our guys are rolling at the right time. If memory serves, Oregon State had a registered sex offender as their ace not so long ago. I’d rather not lose to a program like that, though, I admit they are very good.

Go Cards!

Of course it's Louisville who faces freshman phenom in the first game. Dude was like Brendan McKay who turned down 2nd round draft cash to play college baseball.
