I asked Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm if this was a crucial year in terms of showing that heavily relying on the portal every offseason is a viable long term plan of success.
Said that it's mainly going to be looked at on a year-to-year basis, and that they're not going to go into every offseason with the sole intent of just loading up via the portal. "Everyone we brought in has been with a purpose."

Loved that interview. You may not have seen it, but right after the interview the analysts on ACCN were taking a look at UofL’s schedule, and when it came to discussion about the last game of the regular season, the analysts said Coach Brohm needs to get that one. And I’m pretty sure Brohm heard them and (off camera, but the audio was very clear) said “Yes, Please!” - Coach is very motivated to get that W over the Cats.
