Louisville WBB hosts Longwood Frifday at noon in the KFC YUM! Center.

Longwood is the fifth different NCAA Tournament team from last season the Cardinals will face during their non-conference portion of their schedule. The Lancers won the Big South Tournament Championship after knocking off the top-seed Campbell in the championship game. In the NCAA Tournament, Longwood defeated Mount St. Mary's in the First Four before falling to NC State in the first round. The Lancers went 22-12 last season and so far this year they are 1-3. Senior guard Anne-Hamilton LeRoy leads the team with 14.3 points per game and she is one of three players that is averaging double-digit points.

Longwood is 1-3 on the season with losses to Delaware, Towson and James Madison and a win over Ohio.

The contest will be shown on ACCNX, with Jack Kizer doing play-by-play and Jess Laemmle color. Radio broadcast is on 93.9 FM or 970 AM with Nick Curran on play by play and Cortnee Walton on analyst work.

I think it is a good idea it should help other players develop. She is definitely the go to player and this is her team. However everyone relies on her too much.

IF HVL was not sitting out over some injury; I give CJW all the credit for using that opportunity to get the rest of the talent a chance to gain some confidence without relying on HVL.

No one likes losing, and the SDST game should not have been close if Olivia and Liz had anywhere close to the same effort they showed here at home. Not to takeaway from the Jackrabbits, but our Ladies were clearly not invested in that game.
