The Louisville men's basketball program is heading into the NCAA Tournament as a top-ten team in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.

The Cardinals (27-7, 18-2 ACC) garnered 809 points in week 20 of the AP Top 25, rising from No. 13 last week to No. 10 this week.

#11 in the Coaches Poll.

It's a black eye on the committee and embarrassing. The rest of the T10 got seeded in order. It's hilarious to see 1-4 get the 1s, 5-8 get the 2s, #9 get the 3, and then #10 gets..... 8.

Once the NCAAT starts this will be forgotten. If Louisville loses it gives them fake cover. Outcome of game doesn't really change the seeding miss though.

Maybe all that media noise crying for Clemson @ the ACCT had impact. More than likely it was just corruption on to the next.

All you can do is laugh at these people and the entire charade. Sport is bleeding interest as is, not sure why they don't see the eyeballs in this area code and understand attendance #'s and viewership. Maybe they just know our fans take it and will still buy up all those tickets so mission accomplished.

They desperately want marquee matchups I hope they don't get any.

I have a lot of friends who are die-hard UK fans (like TopCatCal) who have been sincere in their support of UL fans who are outraged over Selection Committee.

I must say that I find the ACC Leadership as equally complicit in this outcome, and without making idle threats, I believe there will be consequences over time to both institutions.

UofL is a blue blood program, if any other blue blood program had our ranking, regardless of how weak the conference was, they would get a fair seed, or an even better seed than they deserve. Look a Kansas and North Carolina.. IMO neither of those teams should've even been in the tournament..

They screwed us on purpose and nobody can convince me otherwise. As someone else said, they know we will just take it. Other blue blood fanbases would be screaming at the top of their lungs and every talking head on every sports talk show would be talking about it.. Total disrespect.!

Exactly! They know they can do anything they want to Louisville without much of any blowback. The program has been tarnished with scandal and ineptitude for several years. If they did this to Kansas or UK or Duke, they would expect an onslaught from the media, even the news media.

My thought is they didn't purposely screw the Cards with an 8 seed, but in their preparations, didn't concern themselves with what is fair for the Cards. They were more concerned on trying to balance the bracket because of one conference having 14 teams.

If it meant they needed to move Louisville from the 6 to the 7 and then to the 8, so be it. There's just no respect. Louisville in their mind isn't a blue blood program but more of a mid major like 30 win Drake who got a 10 seed.

I was so pissed Sunday I didn't watch much of the bracket preview shows on ESPN, but I've heard from others there hasn't been much of a push back and real questioning of Louisville's seed by the network. Again, just no respect for Louisville at all.

Of course Louisville beating Creighton then Auburn would be the best response but likely not going to happen. Unfortunately, it's going to take Louisville winning even more going forward to rid the stink of the past decade.

They should just come out and say that the criteria has nothing to do with sensible numbers. It’s about storylines, favoritism, and of course money

One of the nastiest effects of what Cunningham did is to fill the coffers of UNC and diminish to coffers of UofL. Because of the new ACC performance payouts which reward post-season success.
