Building a Culture

The thing that I really don't understand is that KP has a really good rep in the recruiting circles.
He has a good reputation for recruiting at "KY" Where he had Nike and WWW feeding him players. Not to mention with the exception of Duke, KY is probably the easiest place in college basketball to recruit...

His words, not mine, were that we were trying to build a culture. It is tough to do that if you turn over every true freshman. Maybe he should’ve just said that these guys aren’t good enough and it’s time to find some better players.
Knuckle, I think the days of building programs with dudes who are OK to wait 2-3 years behind starters while they develop may be gone forever. The one-time transfer rule and NIL have made almost every player a free agent in every off-season. Any kid that isn’t getting what they believe themselves to be worth are going to transfer. That’s all there is to it my friend.

It would be the same thing regardless of who the coach was.
