This coaching search reminds me of the Big XII fiasco. We were pretty sure that was gonna happen and when it didnt, it was like a punch in the gut. But in the end it worked out much better for us.

Would still like Brohm here but I think there are better candidates out there if he doesnt pick the Ville.

I agree with you. I think you should take the better candidates. We'll just keep Brohm. You can thank us later :)

In all seriousness, the other names floating around for your HC are quality names as well. Both sides will end up just fine.

I think we land someone solid either way. No disrespect to the Purdue fans, but Brohm won't be there in 3 years no matter what happens today. Just not gonna happen!

You may be right, but if you are then we will have gotten our money's worth.

He'll be making Top 10 money as a coach, and if someone is willing to pay him Top 5 or better money then I would expect that we got the results we needed for him to earn it.

I still think Brohm is the coach we end up with.

I've heard this multiple times from people that know coaching that are both UL fans and non-UL fans and have heard multiple times that we should be going after Scott Satterfield instead of Brohm.

Not like I heard it from every person but I have heard it enough to know that Satterfield is apparently a very good coach that is beloved by his players.

He might be gone by the end of January. SI writer Peter King says after the annual fleecing by NFL GMs of their coaches, if they’re looking at young college offensive minded coaches, CJB was the first name he mentioned. Would he coach Green Bay?

Wherever he ends up, NFL salaries aren't the big jump they used to be over college coaches and the job security is less. If he stays at Purdue and leaves to coach Alabama in a few years then he earned it by having huge success at Purdue....Same can be said for Satterfield or whoever in a few years.

CJB just seems like a college coach to me with the way he gets guys to buy-in. You don't generally see that in the NFL, very rarely. Also, how many have tried that jump and failed miserably.....hell look at Saban!

Not sure any NFL coach makes more than Saban, Gruden probably closest

I liken it more towards the ACC fiasco. We were out. UCONN in. Then the greatest AD this university has ever had, along with Ramsey, made it happen. Just imagine if we were AAC right now and looking for a coach. You think Brohm would leave a P5 school for a G5? Previous leadership made this job 100% more attractive thanks to their efforts.

The team that drafted, then cut his brother?

The Big12 is a garbage conference run by total narcissistic nitwits. (Texas/OU) You're better off in the ACC by a longshot. Be thankful you stayed out of that manure pit.

After turning his back on his home town, his alma mater, and the fans who look up to him just because of his last name, I doubt he would have much issues with taking a NFL job just because they cut his brother. It's all about priorities!! LMAO!!
