Anybody else think we are flying dangerously under the radar?

I like where we are at right now. Teams think we should be an easy out based on early conference predictions, so we sneak up on them. Our guys have already experienced let down once to their demise against Pitt, but have since picked back up. Winning by double digits in each conference game.

I think this week we become ranked, fortunately and unfortunately. We aren’t going to be overlooked for long. Until the next time we fall out of the rankings.

I think everybody has noticed us now so unfortunately we are no longer under the radar. I think as long as we play good defense we have a shot at anyone. Early in the season we had trouble scoring but now we have multiple scoring threats. I really like how this team is developing the coaches have done a great job.

I am not a gambler on college sports but this is a great time to bet on the Cards. The media hates us and for that reason our standings in the polls will be under reality all season. Take the point$$$$$$!

I agree. This team may actually out-perform next year’s team unless Johnson or Perry step up as a PG. or we go the Grad Transfer route again.

Wee bit early to give up on Perry IMO. He has the tools to be a really good PG. He just needs to adjust his game attitude.

Honestly, I think the media hates what happened here and the people that caused the problems. The football program just gave more ammunition for them to criticize Petrino, his contract and the former AD. I feel that they pull for Mack and the basketball team. Mack has been great so far while showing that you can coach here and be a good guy.

I dont think we have been under the radar whatsoever. Look at the atmosphere at IU, Seton Hall...how hard UK played against us. We are still one of the best 6-7 programs in the nation and there are probably less than 5 or so schools that would be where we are today after having gone through what we have the last 4 years. Kids are playing hard, inevitably will make the tournament, and have what will be a top 5 recruiting class coming in. Tyra and Mack deserve a ton of the credit, but this program speaks for itself. Has for the last 50 years and will continue to do so until global warming kills us all (thats a joke).

ThroughBlue, I agree bud. They have surprised me this year. After all, all I heard was they were going to be in a reboot kinda of thing. Lol. Reboot my butt. Haha. This team plays hard and with pride. They play basketball the way they should with the pieces they have!! Guys I’m telling you now, I see a hard nosed bunch of kids who are improving everyday. It not like these guys have been together that long, but they’re coming together as a team.

Now, you all may not have all the pieces yet, but they’ll come and with Mack and the Veteran guys helping them next year, you’ll be fun as can be to watch, and a tough out for sure. You’re already physical and play smart. I’ve enjoyed watching a few games this year have have been impressed. I am. Kentucky fan, but I’m not one of those (I hate Louisville) guys. Lol. Actually, I love it when both team are playing good basketball, and I think you’re right on the verge of becoming a scary team.

The 14-15 year old kid in my would kick my butt for saying all this to you guys. Hahahahaha. It’s true though, and I’m really glad you guys got a good coach who can handle the ins and outs of being a coach in Louisville. It’s a tough job and take a special kind of guy to put up with pressure that comes with it, but Mack is a great fit.

Anyway, lol, back to the team! You talk about some guys that have improved in the last month and been working their asss off , it this group of kids. I do love how they’re fighting for everything now and giving everything they have to win every possession. That’s what it takes and that’s what this team is going to be. Tough as nails, smart, hungry and improving every game. I don’t know how much they stay in the gym, but my guess is way too much. Lol. Really that’s what it take and you can just see the growth.

I’m very proud of all kids that better themselves and work hard, no matter who they play for. They’re someone’s son or daughter, and just kids, but I’ll tell you what, the kids on your team are some fine young men and you all should be very proud of them because you don’t just improve like this by sitting around, you put in the work! They’ve done all you could ask and more And if I were you all I’d be very excited for the future. Thanks guys and I honestly wish you all the greatest of luck! Unless Of course it’s us. Hehe.
