Anas frustrates me to no end. All he does is block shots. If rebounding were considered a part of defense as it should be I have no idea how he made all defensive team.
I am usually one of his critics but he hustled today. There were at least 6 bad passes from his teammates that he saved from being turnovers.
He is what he is. He's given us four years and to my knowledge and never had any off the court issues. He's a Captain and a Senior! Student/Athlete!

I said it in another thread. He was the best player in the league for 2 weeks last season, doing it all. It's what put him on the radar.
We need that guy to return tomorrow. If he does, our chances of winning exponentially go up. I'm rooting for him.

He had about 4-8 more points laid in his lap that he didn’t cash in, I’m talking bunny shots. Against a good team (FSU stinks) that possibly gets us beat.
Anas uses basketball for his scholarship and nothing more...Its just a extra curricular activity for him so he can get his education...Thats what's important to him!!!
I know who you are talking about. VJ King. He did next to nothing today yet logged 20 minutes. He had 0 fouls in 20 minutes of play. You can get 1 foul by mistake. He also had 4 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 turnover.
Sutton by comparison played 21 minutes, scored 10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 turnover, and yes, 1 foul.

The only thing I can figure is that Padgett keeps playing King to keep him from transferring.
Yeah and when you cater to one player’s needs, you have a team full of players wanting what’s best for them, not necessarily the team.
That's right. King has had 2 full years now to live up to his HS hype and he has failed. I don't like writing that because I know he wants to be the best he can be, but his best thus far isn't what any of us expected. We all expected much more out of him.
Might be correct, but it shouldn't matter to DP. He'll be an assistant someplace else, or a head coach at a lower level D-I spot.
I definitely think the talent is there but up till now it doesn’t seem like he’s willing to do the extra stuff to make him a better all around player. That takes sacrifices and hard work. Some people think they are working hard but if you’re doing the same as everybody else, it’s not enough. Talent will only take you so far.
I think he takes a lot of shots he shouldn't take. If he would take good smart shots within his range he would be a more valuable game.
Again today DP gives Anas major first half minutes. HE BRINGS NOTHING OFFENSIVELY, play SUTTON!!!
I want to know where Williams and Nwora are. Both need to play in this game IMO.
In the 4 years that he has been at UofL.......He has gained only 15 pounds. YIKES!!!! thats not good for a 7 foot college basketball player
Despite not coming up with that HUGE loose ball when we trailed by only 4 and the missed dunk I thought Nwora made DP look pretty stupid for all the pine time throughout the season.
