Anas gets too much time

I give Guy credit for returning to the thread. When the team loses this is a good place to vent. Players will have ups and downs, strengths and weaknesses.
True story. Most of us, no matter how irritating we find it, understand the venting angle. If we shut that down, we;d lose half of the posters, lol.

According to Coach P on his show last night, Anas is now 225. Mentioned his goal for Anas is 228 in March and 235 in October. Also said that Anas needs to eventually get to 245.

Joked at one point that he plays great every third game!

As has been stated Anas gets owned by any big man who has a decent amount of strength. Backed down under the rim at will by bam and ojo. Mangok won't let that happen, but disappears offensively in some games. All of our bigs have flaws, but I'd rather have offensive flaws than defensive flaws at this point. Just a preference. Anas has good offensive skill when he isn't on the bench in foul trouble, and I would personally like to see him guard the 4 and jalen/mangok guard the 5 if they are in together.

Last night on Rick's show, he mentioned Anas

Said stuff like:

- if he wants to become the first Egyptian in the NBA, he needs to become a knockdown jump shooter. because he's too weak, he often gets shoved in the low post while setting up and making moves, but refs rarely call it even though they should.

- making FTs would help now, and he needs to work on his arc. On top of a perimeter jumper, eventually will need to develop a 3PT shot to make it in the NBA.

- they had a recent conversation about this because he's disappointed. have had this conversation before, where Anas would get the message but not work as hard in his own spare time after two weeks or so.

- compared him to that Baylor kid Isaiah Austin from a few years ago
