UK fan who also roots for UL. Going to the game in Atlanta with friends and trying to make tailgating plans. Anyone know if they will be serving beer during the game? I looked at the website and couldn't tell.

Thx

Go Cards! (Except 3 days a year -- UK/UL football game/UK/UL bball game/ and UK/UL in Final Four)

Hopefully no alcohol. I'm planning to go with my son. I,m already sitting among enough poor fellas that can't handle their alcohol at PJCS.

I've been in the seats in PJCS where they don't permit beer and found that reasonably good, although I enjoy a good beer during the game. My biggest problem has always been with the SEC games, including Commonwealth, where everyone gets so liquored up before games because they can't buy beer during the games. To me, that's a more challenging situation. I went to a soccer match in London where they sold beer during the game but didn't let you take it out to the stands. That limited the amount of drinking during the game -- thought it was a pretty good rule, like me setting in the family section at PJCS.

I sit in the no alcohol 204 section at PJCS. Most of us who sit there do so not because of the ban on alcohol but because they are pretty good seats with a low donation requirement. The rule is enforced occasionally but not always. A couple of years ago one of the stadium personnel came up the stairs and told a gentleman sitting in my row drinking a beer that he would have to leave the section because "You're in the no alcoholic section." The guy looks at the kid and replies, "I'm not an alcoholic, I'm just having a beer." That got a good laugh.

Hi All,

Was nosing around for info in preparation for my trip to Louisville for the Clemson game. The two times that Clemson played in the opener at the Georgia dome alcohol was sold during the game. In 2008 I attempted to drown my sorrows and in 2012 celebrated the win over Auburn.

So you guys sell beer in PJCS for regular home games?

Yes. Alcohol is served at PJCS and Yum center. Enjoy your trip. Louisville is a really fun town, with great restaurants and bars.
