ACCT QUARTERFINAL- LOUISVILLE VS STANFORD- 7PM ESPN2

I imagine this will be a closer game than the last one. Stanford is looking to avenge their loss and keep their NCAAT hopes alive by beating a ranked UofL team.

Go Cards!

Smith doesn't need to play. I think Scott and whomever will limit their big man. They really have no one else. Solid win coming up. Go Cards!

Well if we're going to play like we're clueless it will be a close game.

Edwards had a wide open short shot in the paint and tried to get closer.
Hadley was a bit nonchalant on a breakaway layup.
Scott did his Olivia Cochran impersonation on a layup.

Cards appear a bit too casual to me.

We're missing Smith big time in this game. Stanford is packing that defense in with the Cards best 3 point threat not playing.

It's hard to believe Smith isn't ready to play. He didn't have anywhere near the pain and struggle like Cooper Flagg did today. I wonder if Flagg will miss as much time as Smith?

I guess we're keeping Smith on the sidelines because these conference tournament games are not important enough to. I wonder.

Bottom line on this game so far is Louisville is just not as dialed in as they usually are. They seem laid back and Stanford has taken advantage. Their confidence is sky high.

Going to have to play better hopefully Stanford will lose their legs in the 2nd half. Have to do better ball movement, offensive rebounding and free throw shooting.

We need some sense of urgency, especially on defense. We haven't gotten anything from Hadley and Hepburn hasn't done much either. With Smith out, the Cards offense is lacking.

It doesn't surprise me though. The Cards have not been playing their best lately and Smith being out has caught up to them. We lose this game, we will probably be a #8 seed.

Reynard literally ran over Chucky that would have been his 3rd foul and two of the three officials stood and watched until Chucky went to the floor; only then blew the whistle but they called “walking”!

That was a potential game changer, and that is the sort of officiating in the ACC that is dumbfounding.

Sloppy play. Give Stanford credit for playing for their lives.

We haven’t had a run yet..
Unusually sloppy on offense and a step behind on defense. I think this may be the first real game where the guys were overconfident and didn't figure they could lose to this team they just beat by 20 points.

It was very apparent that first 10 minutes of the game. Now they have let Stanford gain confidence.

I have listened to talking heads saying that Stanford has to win to guarantee a BCAA bid. If that is true they will get the calls this game. I have watched these tournament games men’s and women’s and they’re letting them play. If that is the case we have to play just as physical.

Have to say the bad officiating is everywhere and with every conference. I will say once again that it's not that the job is so hard, it's because there's no accountability for it. Nothing happens and if it does it's in secret and no one knows.

The reason the women's game is the worst with officiating is there's not enough good ones for the men so the women get the worst.

Until these refs are held accountable this will continue.

Smith not playing is going to make it tough (on the road so to speak). Have to play with a little more tempo as well. Go Cards!

Everything is going Stanford’s way we need to change it before it gets out of hand. Edwards got underneath instead of going up with it he passed out and it is stolen. We are not playing the same type of game we have been playing all year. I agree Hadley not done anything this game.

Watching this game with a couple of buddies. All 3 of us have been saying the same thing....if we go down by double digits (w/o Smith), 2 or 3 not playing their game, we are going to be on the ropes! We've got to have 1 - 2 take over and make them guard or double team. Then, fee the the down low.

Well, it's not looking good at all. Everything is going Stanford's way as momentum has noticed which team seems to care more.

I figured to see this kind of game a few times this season but Louisville always seemed to rise above it. But with Smith out, we're not the team that won all those games. We're seeing tonight an opponent who wants it more and is thinking this is their night.

It's going to take Louisville stealing this game to win.

Too much 1v1 basketball. 6 assists and 5 of those are Chucky. Edwards step back 3 is the worst thing I've ever seen. Hadley has been useless. 3 rebounds, that's it.

With Raynaud out drive the lane and draw some fouls. We have everyone on the perimeter looking for 3’s nobody underneath to rebound. Right now I just hope we don’t give up.

Come out of a time-out and outscored 6 - 0 in a tournament! Wow! We are making this team look very good. I thought when Raynaud went out we would take the lead. Now, the 5 minutes or so will tell the story folks!

They haven’t had a clunker pretty much since January. It happens but when they tank it is on the defensive end. Georgia Tech game and this game zero defense

This is what post season college hoops is all about. It's so obvious Stanford wants it more and is more confident. It's happening all over the country with upsets.

Louisville just has no room for error with the injuries they have. If they're not dialed in, they're not going to beat a confident team.
