I'd love to see Vanetti and Dave Jennings on 93.9, but that's not happening...Too much tenure where they are.
I'm hoping Jody Demling makes the switch however. Would be wishing the same for Jerry Eaves whom I like, but he seems hellbent on catering to both camps. CC is the ideal place for him...

Vanetti HATES UK. You have to understand that they need UK fan audience and too much hate drives them away. Just enough keeps them listening. If you listen to him and take out the politics obviously directed to keep UK audience, you can still hear his disdain for UK pretty clearly.

A lot more than Vanetti , John at least knows the boxing scene very well. John Ramsey is much better than Vanetti . And besides he has no problem calling Matt Jones out unlike Vanetti whom if you didn't know has a side business with Matt. Vanetti has had a fallen out with the U of L administration, over a few things ie Matt Jones and his U of l scoops hint hint.
You may have a valid point about Ramsey; however, my comments were directed at Vanetti. And, of course, you are correct about him being a nice person but this doesn't translate into being a knowledgeable college sports commentator. Mr. Ramsey is, without doubt, a UofL "homer" and he is going to call out the liar know as Maddie Jones. This is something that Tony isn't willing to do because of the "big blue blow torch". And if you want to hear ignorance then just listen to Maddie discuss the ins and outs of college sports, especially college football, and he becomes the true definition of ignorant.

What is the side business Vanetti has with Matt Jones? Ramsey is no doubt a U of L homer and that's good. He is cock sure of himself and a shade arrogant, you have to be that way in that business. If you called in to Lach, you had to have your "A" game. That was fun whether he knew what he was talking about or not.
Deener, Stillman, Ramsey, what a joke! The only show worth listening to on thoses channels is Bob Valvano.

I prefer Ramsey or Coffey, then Howie when he guest spots after him Valvano just because he really does give a neutral cocky take on a lot of things. Denner is just like Lock and that deuche bag Jones arrogant buttholes.
Jerry Eaves is pretty good but right now he is breaking into the game so he is trying too find his niche not trying to step on any fanbases toes. However with that being said , with him being a homegrown Louisville resident and player he needs to dial it down some on the Uk praise though.

I used to like listening to Valvano awhile back but you are right, he has proven himself to be a condescending prick if you have an opinion that differs from his take and loves to lecture his callers and texters on issues that are simply a matter of opinion. Not to mention the guy is constantly going on whiny rants about whoever pissed him off lately.
Valvano is still pretty good to listen to when interviewing athletes or other media people because he treats them with respect but I prefer hearing silence from 12-3 because of the points mentioned above .
Valvano is a legitimate national broadcaster and talk radio host. The rest of the ones on local radio are wannabes.
I don't care for Vanetti, he talks like a 1970's pot head, "man this" and "man that". Guy gets on my nerves, heard him and Jennings a couple days ago commenting on women's basketball rules. A listener called in and corrected them, then after he hangs up they make fun of the guy for five minutes. I listen to their show less and less.

Vanetti and Jennings are goofballs and know nothing about sports. I prefer silence to those two. Don't know how anyone can listen to them. There only advertisers are Men's "Get it up clinics" which tells you all lyou need to know about their audience.
