Executive 1: Lamar Jackson
"Clemson has some studs on that defensive line, but Lamar Jackson will be the best player on that field."

Executive 3: Jackson
"I'll go with the best playmaker and that's Lamar Jackson."

Executive 4: Jackson
"It has to be Lamar Jackson. Hands down. He's an incredible athlete and playmaker. Even though he might miss that easy throw in the first quarter, when the money is on the line, he gets it there. When he gets outside the pocket, he is special."

Conclusion: I'm not totally surprised by these results. I thought Clemson DT Dexter Lawrence might garner some attention, but it's hard to argue with Wilkins getting two votes. Wilkins is a disruptive player and his versatility is a tremendous asset. Jackson received the most votes and I agree with the opinion of Executive No. 4. He does miss some easy layups, and that can look really bad on tape. However, the good far outweighs the bad. His combination of skills and competitiveness is off the charts. I believe Clemson has the better football team, but the best player on the field will be wearing a Louisville jersey.

Hard to argue. Clemson will have guys on the field drafted higher. Lamar Jackson is the best player in college football this year, and it really isn't close.

Mel Kiper on Lamar Jackson...on his Top 25 Big Board...

13. *Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville
Welcome to the Big Board, Heisman Trophy winner. I was asked a lot about him last year, and I said I wanted to see major improvement in Jackson's passing to consider him an NFL quarterback prospect. Well, it's early, but his start to the season has been promising. Jackson's completion percentage is way up (64.7 from 56.2 in 2016), he has put on some good weight and his delivery looks more fluid. And he has done all of that while retaining his dynamic athleticism and speed. The matchup versus Clemson this weekend is important because the Cardinals' schedule gets easier afterward. Jackson will have NFL prospects chasing after him all game. I'm excited to see how he plays, and I know NFL teams are watching, too.

What he has with Clemson-(Kiper)

10. *Christian Wilkins, DL, Clemson
Clemson just keeps producing first-round picks. Wilkins could be next. At 6-4, 300 pounds, he moves inside and outside for the Tigers. Wilkins is a Jonathan Allen-type lineman. He could be an end in a 3-4 defense or a 3-technique tackle in a 4-3. Wilkins had 3.5 sacks and 13 tackles for loss last season. He had 1.5 sacks in the win over Auburn last weekend, and now he'll have a chance to get after Lamar Jackson & Co. in Louisville in Week 3.

I love how the talking heads don't mention why his completion percentage was only 56 last year...about 100 drops from our receivers! It should've been, at worse, 65%. Be prepared for Lamar to become the most scrutinized draft prospect in NFL history.

It going to be tough to Top John Manziel...but be prepared for the "Hand Size" skinny knees and slight frame narrative during the NFL Combine Process...
