Defense gets a huge interception with run back to the 4 yard line.
Petrino takes Malik Cunningham out and inserts Jawon Pass.
He then calls 3 straight running plays which results in little to no gain and a field goal.
1) If you were going to run 3 straight times why do you take out a dual threat QB?
2) Why would you call for 3 run plays given that the team has had virtually no success running the ball with Pass under center?
3) If you’re going with Pass then why would you not have him throw one pass? A throw to the corner to one of Louisville’s highly touted tall athletic WR’s?
None of this makes any sense. Just like the going for it on 4th and 4 on your own 32 yd line versus Indiana State only down 7.
Something is severely amiss.
