Could have been not only for more playing time but also a better “deal” financially - ie, instead of a partial athletic scholarship at UofL, DBU may have been able to provide him with a full athletic scholarship or even a complete academic scholarship like Vanderbilt does.I don’t see that he quit. Players transfer a lot - especially in baseball. In his case, it appeared he had plenty of talent though. Thus, it was strange why he bailed. If he had stayed I think he could have been successful at UofL.
