A++
And it's really got little to do with a return to the Top 15--and in the Final poll the Top 10--or even the play of our team. It was the return of our fanbase and if there is one big plus to being that 8 seed it really was playing in Lexington. That showing WAY exceeded my expectations and if you made the trip over for a noon game on a Thursday that means you requested off Monday or so because NOBODY expected that going into Sunday's Selection show. I can tell you that Saints was packed by 11:45 yesterday and forced a relocation to a packed Drake's even without 12,000-15,000 of our red clad Brothers and Sisters competing for seats and tables. The footage of the walk through at the Hilton to the busses really put the goosebumps on my arms every time I've watched it. The Ovation as the team left the court yesterday was something you see in European soccer matches, but rare in an American sporting event off a loss. The Tennessee game even though we were immediately staked to a 10-0 deficit was still something to behold as a White Out. The Striped look of the Pitt game, the Senior Day and something else that I think hasn't been lauded enough...the student section. On a personal note it was cool for me to see so many kids my own college age kids went to high school and grade school with in the student section on TV because I had become really concerned that we had lost a big chunk of potential fanbase to the last ten years of problems. They set a standard moving forward that is pretty high.
Man, pump all that in my veins.
So A++ for me...every facet of the Program took a Giant Leap back to a standard that we clearly took for granted. Not even the Seeding Screw Job and end result of Creighton's outstanding performance can dampen the enthusiasm I have for the immediate future.
