The difference is our chief rival, who thinks they are better than us, stinks; while yours is really good. Forgetting Michigan and Kentucky for a moment, what do you guys think about the game today. Two very similar teams, with Hall of Fame coaches, good guard play, and playing their best basketball of the year go at each other. Frankly, this game scares the hell out of me, it could go either way. But please, let Kentucky go and talk about your game today.

It's too bad your chief rival doesn't look at you in the same fashion. Their chief rival is Ohio State. Michigan State has never been a part of that nor will it ever be no matter how successful MSU is or how much the real big Blue struggle. MSU will never be on Michigan's level. Ever.
Take our relative silence as evidence of deep respect for your coach, team and program. Not much smack over here with those we respect whether it is UNC, Duke, ND or UConn or 'Cuse in years past. We know it will be a battle today.

I believe I said our rivals "think they are better than us" in the first sentence. That was my point, that UM thinks they are rivals with OSU not MSU, when they couldn't beat either program in football or basketball. Do you honestly think UK thinks of Louisville as an equal? I don't think UK thinks of anyone as an equal in basketball. I was merely trying to say, instead of obsessing about the UK game last night, think about your own game today. It should actually be a pretty good game between two pretty good teams, with pretty good coaches.
I'm a die-hard Cards fan but always follow the MSU BB team throughout the season. I think Izzo is one of the best coaches around and appreciate the way he's scheduled games for military fans. To me he's a not only a great coach but also a great person. I'll be pulling for the Cards today but they'll need a great game and maybe a bit of luck to win. Still, the Cards are playing great lately and one can never count Pitino out in March. So, I'm confident enough to invest a few bucks on a Cards win.
If you wanted to talk about the game you could have talked about the game only, and you would have received a number of good luck responses with opinions.

This is a clueless post but entertaining just the same. UM doesn't admit that MSU is their rival because in their blindly arrogant minds it is beneath them. It's fine with MSU that UM is distracted by OSU who they will never beat in the foreseeable future while MSU continues to kick the living shit out of UM. In football OSU will publicly say UM is their rival too but at least they are smart enough to know who the only team in the big ten that can take them out is and it isn't UM. As far as basketball, MSU sees Wisconsin and OSU as the only schools in the BIG that can challenge them on a regular basis. Not UM .... only Wisconsin and OSU. MSU will never be at UM's level? God lets hope not, we prefer to continue to be winning programs. Now as far as Louisville and UK, your inferiority complex is showing, UK doesn't consider Louisville as a rival....more of a nuisance. They know Duke and North Carolina are the only real challenge to them on the recruiting trail which is all that matters to them. For those schools it's just a race to see who can get the most NBA first rounders out of each class. Louisville isn't in that game and UK only thinks about Louisville during the weeks that they have to play them
