Is it as simple he's too small to be a shooting guard, but is also not a true PG, since passes to teammates are required? I don't watch a ton of NBA, but there seems to be plenty of ball players who don't look deserving to be in the league. Russ is instant offense. He could easily be a reserve, and when it's time for some points, bring in the gunslinger. Similar to the Pistons back in the day with Vinnie "The Microwave" Johnson.
Why has Russ not made it in the NBA?

He hasn't played in the G-league since 2017, and then he wakes up one day and does and he scores 43 points or something.
