I wouldn't call the Cards a bust. In fact I would say we are over achievers considering we get no production from the bench. We got like 23 wins playing in the toughest conference in America ( F the Big 12). I definitely agree about SF Austin, they could beat us by 10pts. There's several mid majors like N Iowa that could blast us. But remember who we got coaching. So maybe we are the team nobody wants to see.

We have over achieved no dout about it, but as far as season expectations, the seed we will receive, program expectations, etc. as I stated "hope I'm wrong", but I just don't see a sudden turnaround from the five-spot and our bench.

24 wins so far and hopefully 6 more. It's possible. Not probable but stranger things have happened, and it happened just last year. I would take this years Cardinals team over last years UConn team in a heartbeat. The problem is there are about 20 teams this year who are a lot stronger than that UConn team from last year.

I can promise you that last sentence in your post is 100% true. We don't have the most talent. We don't have what I would consider a legitimate national championship contender either, but what we do have is a hall of fame coach who will have his team ready to compete no matter who is wearing the opposing jersey, and it's a 1 game elimination. We will be the team nobody wants to see.

I don't have any faith in Iowa st. They beat an undermaned Kansas for the BIG12 championship. That game in context was not a big surprise. I would replace them with Gonzaga. Arizona is another team that does not seem to impress me. Villanova, depends on who they play against. They seem very small. Virgina could also get going again.

I don't like Notre Dame at all as they are an arrogant program like UK. I think they can give UK big problems. They are physical, aggressive, and have 3 players that can hit consistently from 30 feet.

Cue, I'm hoping for the best but this year's Card squad over last year's UConn team? Surely you jest! You'd take Terry and Q over Shabazz and Boatright (sp?). Please, I love my Cards too but c'mon! I've taken my rose colored glasses off with this team, time for you to do the same! Oh and by the way, I'd be the first to enjoy eating my crow on this, but I don't see that happening. These guys have left me hanging one too many times.
