There is no perfect system that can eliminate “injustices” like what we see; however, the influence by Disney via its ownership of both ESPN and ABC shows a blatant disregard for any hint of objectivity or effort in impartiality.

My admonition over the death of amateur sports rings prettybhollow now, as there is no way to resurrect the past. It started decades ago when the Olympic Committee opened the door for professional athletes to compete in the games. The NCAA’s own negligence and unequal application of their own Investigation, Infraction and Punishment Committees resulted in the ultimate disrespect and weakening of the organization as a whole.

I expect the influences of greed and power will continue to gain momentum in High School and Grade Schools, as the underlying principles of NIL have no limitations.

I agree the NCAA, the university presidents lost control when they actively started blowing up conference for money. That is when people started to really dig into everyone is making decisions for money but let’s not include the players. Plus the EA SPORTS lawsuit.

Everyone that left the Big East how they doing today? That move was not a good decision. It very similar to the playoff discussion. It is not in the best interest of the sport to give the SEC more AQ’s than the ACC and Big 12. The ACC and Big 12 have to die on that hill. The AQ at least level the on field stuff. The off field investments will always be dominated by those other two.

The Universities especially in the ACC have a decisions to make are they going to really invest in football and basketball. If they don’t they will be torn apart eventually. They are already seeing the results of not investing in basketball.
