As far as the pick plays, AFAIC it was payback for late hits and cheap shots.

It was Clemson,somewhat surprisingly,that kept its cool during the game.Bama's plan to lay the wood on Watson and Williams was obvious,but they were taking it a bit far with some of those cheap shots. Intimidation only works if when it's confined.
