Heard this too. One of the talk shows today said it was either UofL floating his name to gauge fan reaction or Alford floating it to get UCLA to give him more money.
Pretty sure "homerun" doesn't mean what you think it means...
haha, well this is basketball...so maybe he has a point. I'll add, Touchdown! to this confused celebration.
Everyone has their opinion. Yours happens to be wrong. Alford isn't just a "no." He's a "hell to the no."
If Joe Lunardi’s last bracket turned out to be accurate, Mr Alford will get his chance to prove his unworthiness. Lunardi has UCLA-Louisville as 11 seeds facing each other in a play-in game.
Wonder if the FBI has talked with the Ball family yet. Lavar already has said that everybody was getting paid. Just sayin...
Alford would suck. If you can’t get to one final 4 with UCLA then you just aren’t a good coach. They had like 10 titles in a row. All the tradition and nba legends. Crazy the drop off they’ve had.
I guess since they are supposed to make an announcement on April 11th and all these new names coming up let us know that Padgett won't be the coach.
He is 5 years of successful coaching elsewhere away from deserving this job. Early ACC record was fools gold and I fell for it.
I'm aware of that but I'm looking at the total body of work here you will never see any of the top programs that we aspire to ride with having recruiting classes ranked as low as the one I saw
It doesn’t matter what they did. Anyone who doesn’t see that the ncaa is going to totally change the existing rules so that they can look the other way and stay in power - just simply isn’t paying attention.
While I would mostly agree you must remember that the entire set-up during the Wooden run was much easier. The bracket was 32 not 68, there was no seeding, the West regional was usually the weakest, etc.
While I’m not in favor of Alford, we could do worse. But, I prefer to do better.
