I was watching the Lady Cards play in Rupp Arena tonight and they kept mentioning that Rupp was going to host the women's NCAA tournament this year. The thing that really got my attention was that they were going to be hosting it for the next few years. I know we can't blame sUcK for wanting to make some extra money but why not host the men's tournament ?
I think I know why, if sUcK host the men's tournament they can't play in their own arena but UL can. They don't want UL playing in their arena so they won't host the men's tournament. I really wish we would do the same thing that would keep all the fat redkneck fans out of the Yum center.

I think 2 things - Rupp hosted the 1st and 2nd round just 2 years ago, and U of L played there. And, I don't think the Lexington center corporation makes decisions on which cities host NCAA tournament games.

It doesn't matter if there's a conspiracy going on. Bailout Arena MUST have additional events scheduled in order to survive. We bargained away what you're alleging is going in in Lexington when this arena was built.

I think they need the money but when they host the men's tournament they can't play in it but UL can. When they hosted it about 4 years ago UL played in it and they didn't like it. They are scheduled to host the women's tournament for 3 years now and they aren't applying for the men's tournament.

That may be true--LPT applying for NCAA tourneys--but it's irrelevant. Bailout Arena must apply for and get as many of those games as possible...
