My wife and I got so excited when the Saints moved up and the NFL network guys all talked about Sean Payton with Lamar with Kamara and then they draft a defensive end, wtf? then when the Steelers and Patriots passed I knew Lamar would be a second rounder with only the eagles left to pick. i felt truly bummed that these teams passed on him and not somethign unexpected. I figured they'd all take him in the 2nd, but not risk a 1st. I actually stopped recording the draft and turned the channel to watch NHL (btw, NHL playoff hockey is the most exciting team sport period). at a commercial I did a quick channel flip back and saw Rich Eisen with mouth agape going wt, we have a trade? with the Raven trade everyone knew why and just sitting there that few seconds waiting for Goodell to walk up was intense. Then the pick came and that was awesome. I thought I was going to sleep bummed for Lamar, and then that turn of events. Looks like I am a Ravens fan now. Way to Go Lamar and Jaire!
