First, I apologize for my absence today. I will make it up to you all by posting about the dinner I had tonight.
Go to my Twitter to get the background, but through a 502Circle event, myself, my dad and a couple of subscribers had dinner with Quincy Riley, Chris Bell, and Brady Brohm.
DISCLAIMER: I will not shed any light into Quincy Riley's decision. Not my place to do so, especially when he was so generous with his time tonight.
A few things to pass along that I don't think they would mind me sharing:
This team completely bought into Jeff Brohm and this coaching staff. Quincy and Chris both said this was the closest team they've ever been on at UofL. Quincy said 'way more laughs and smiles in the locker room.' Chris said he and a lot of others had chills running onto the field for the Notre Dame game.
Brady said this was the closest group of players that Jeff has EVER had as a coach. That speaks volumes to the rapport that Jeff built in a short amount of time.
Chris said he loves Jeff and Garrick McGee. Called McGee a father figure to him. Chris also said Brohm's offense is just on another planet compared to Satterfield's. I would anticipate Chris Bell being a big-time player here for a long time and for his role to continue to grow.
Chris and Quincy both said Aaron Williams is a young player to watch. They also both mentioned Stanquan Clark. Quincy said Stanquan is starting to mature. They also both mentioned Maurice Turner as a guy who is ready to break out.
Chris said a lot of good things about the QB room -- Bailey, Clarkson, and Allen. Said he hasn't met Shough, but he trusts this staff at that spot.
They said the S&C program under Brohm is completely different than Satterfield. A whole different philosophy. Less max outs and throwing a ton of weight around. More tactical approach in regard to speed and agility.
The transfer portal and NIL plan is in such a good place.
Next year will be a lot of fun. A lot of fun. I'll leave it at that.

Most importantly, Quincy and Chris are just awesome dudes. As good as they come. You can be proud that they represent your school.
