To go with Ellis.

Not that there aren't needs in the front court too, but Cards essentially have only one guard as of right now.

I'm quite calm. Just stating a need the team currently has and to maybe drum up some discussion.
I think the roster possibly will not be solidified maybe as far out as July. Their will be guys that pull out from the draft and other reasons. No need to rush just getting guys if he's really not sold on them.

Amazing how a “fan” who has continually posted things like the following over the last few years, is now telling others to “calm down”.

FSU turned on the team on fire mode from nba jam
Amazing really i'm speechless and done and officially upset . Enjoy

It’s amazing what a turnaround he’s made without ever seeing KP be the HC anywhere. There must be a reason why he is so relentless in his support / defense of KP - I wish I could put my finger on it. I guess KP is just his kind of guy…

The way college sports are trending more to a professional model . The older coaches will be moving on at a faster rate. Coaching year by year will be for younger guys. I just don't think we will ever have the great coaches like Denny,Dean, K , Boeheim etc. again.

With it shifting toward a pro type system I agree older coaches are going to leave. There will be someone that will embrace the new era and find a niche.

With NIL the G-League becomes less attractive for high school kids. The NCAA and NBA should partner up. Develop college programs to prepare kids for professional life.

What Louisville should do is set up internships with ROC nation for there players if Perez is hired. They should do it with all the big employers in town. I would have loved to do a internship at Louisville Slugger during my playing days. Today with social media players could help promoting UPS is a great place to work.

It really is uncharted waters.

Guards! Hell, we need most everything!! Look, I like KP and hope he will exceed beyond anyone’s greatest expectations. But, I don’t think we can ignore the fact that KP’s biggest selling point was his recruiting ability. Many implied that if KP was hired we’d have five stars standing in line to play here immediately. Well, since KP’s hire, we’ve had several players enter the portal, previous commits decommiting, missed on a few recruits and have added no one to the roster so far. People like Redfist and Maybin are preaching patience but until we get some worthy commits the natives are gonna be restless. It’s starting to feel like we’ve been over-promised a bit. I’m hoping I’m very, very wrong but, so far, the results are underwhelming.

Here's the team we have so far:

G-Ellis
F-James
F-Traynor
F-Withers
C-Curry
F-Lands

I agree the front court needs more, but we only have one guard right now in Ellis. And we do have Kamari Lands signing with the Cards so that's one addition. I'm not disagreeing with you really, I expect KP to land some big time recruits as well, but so far the new assistants have only been on the job for a week or two and the staff isn't even finished yet.

But CKP will have to pull his weight and prove what he can do as I wasn't entirely sold on him when hired either. I will give him and the staff a fair shake and time though.

Yep. Trying to be patient but every day seems to bring no new news on the player front. Most excitement I’ve had is when Sharpe decided to go pro!!

Would love to get a great floor general PG that can really set the team up on offense. The team really missed that last season.

Like what Ellis brings if he can stay under control, but would like some bigger athletic guards too.

I agreed the overhype on Payne fact that he's never been a coach and he was supposed to be a great recruiter and we're like 2 weeks in and nothing

Geez, the 1st year is probably going to be a mixed bag The IRP thing is still hanging around. Let’s just see how it plays out.

What about the kid that just entered the portal from St Bonaventure. Close to 14 pts a game on a good team. 6-4
