Notre Dame didn’t do us any favors. Clemson will be ready to play. Dabo sounded pissed off.
So what. They were ready to play ND and it didn't matter. Does anybody really think they were overlooking the Irish in South Bend?

Clemson has issues that they haven't had during their recent dominant stretch, but they still have loads of highly recruited players.

Louisville had them beat last season. It's going to be difficult winning in death valley, but them losing the game before in my opinion will have little impact.

They locked up the Atlantic before kickoff yesterday. Clemson will play in the ACC championship game. Mental aspect of the game can be impacted. Plus, the Tigers don’t lose two in a row often. I’ll put UofL’s chances at 20%. Clemson opened -7.5.

Yeah I would love to see us win it but we are the long shot and ND just woke Clemson up.

I’m no Clemson historian, but I think 2011 is the last time Clemson lost back to back games.

They have been dominant no doubt but that doesn't give them a great offense this season.

A lot of things have to go just right for the Cards to pull the upset and we all know that's usually not the case for Louisville, especially against Clemson.

But there's no Watson or Lawrence playing QB this time around for the Tigers and they don't have the all conference receivers or running backs.

This Clemson team may be doing a lot of second guessing and if more adversity hits them early against the Cards, they don't have an all-American QB or RB to bail them out.

And this will be the first time playing against Clemson where the Cards have a strong defense, statistically better than Notre Dame who just stymied Clemson.

I think this is going to be a defensive game and turnovers will be the key once again for the surging Cards. Another Streak ends for the Tigers with the Cards first win against the ACC powerhouse.

Louisville 23
Clemson 20

No prediction here, just looking forward to being a prohibitive underdog entering Death Valley. This Clemson team has a wealth of talent, just not nearly in those same skill positions that Dabo enjoyed in past years when they were a legitimate NC contender.

If Malik actually learned anything from his 1st half performance against JMU, it is possible that he will exercise better judgement and take advantage of those resources around him.

Any truth to Malik breaking his left hand if so its a wrap
That's the rumor. He broke his left hand on the play he grabbed the defender's fask mask... It's his left hand not his throwing hand but wonder if it will affect handoffs or holding the ball when running. Could change things quite a bit... Doman will not be ready for that environment.

This is the test. I really think this will be the game that shows what we are about or not.

It’s a 3:30pm game on ESPN. People will be watching. Clemson is hungry for a win and knows there’s 0 room for error now. This is a chaos year and we’ve seen Clemson lose in the past and turn it around.

They are beatable. Losses come in pairs for a team and wins come in bunches. A snowball effect.

Clemson has an elite defense from a talent perspective. Do we trust Malik Cunningham to make decision against this front on the road? This is kind of a legacy games for him because he has to make plays. Our wideouts aren’t going to get past their secondary at will, we have to extend plays with Malik’s legs. He has to make easy throws.

Then our defense? Man we’ve looked good lately. Pitt isn’t a great offense, but we made plays to win. We made plays to beat a Wake offense that was great. Boston College and Cuse memories are in our head. The FSU backup QB bothers me.

Their offense is not good, but they make plays to win and they have elite talent and size. Can our team make winning plays?

Clemson and DJ(if he’s the guy) have been in big games. They’ve been in the playoffs. They played UGA within a TD last year. They lost at ND last week, but that’s still a primetime game in the spotlight. That’s why the name brand teams are hard to beat, even FSU. They may not be playing well, but they have talent and they’ve been on the big stage and know how to turn it on.

2014 we lost on a turnover on downs at the 1 yard line

2015??? The 4th quarter we turned it over on downs. Kick return TD. Missed a FG. Interception in Clemson territory. Lamar Jackson starts the game and we win!

2016 Well we all know about James Quick on that last play.

2017, 2018, & 2019 they were elite and we were Petrino’d on talent.

2021 We were LEADING with 4 minutes to go in the game. And like 2014, turnover on downs on the Clemson 2.

Clemson against the ACC divisional opponents

FSU beat them last in 2014
NC State beat them last year in 2021
Cuse beat them in 2017
Wake last beat them in 2008
BC last beat them in 2010

They’re tough to beat.

No way this team can win without Malik. Being 100 percent healthy and from the chatter he us not a broken left hand effects alot especially a QB such as him whom is slight of build and a mobile guy just heard he is going to try to give it a go which is not good .

They’re tough to beat.
They are particularly tough to beat at home. Clemson has won 38 straight at home.

In my best George Thorogood.

Them 38 wins don't confront me! We gonna whoop'em, and good too. Then they'll have a ZERO home game win streak.

That don't confront me long as I get my win by Saturday. 🤣

Don't know if it's good news or bad, but the weather is outta there by Saturday.

70 deg partly cloudy 15% rain Winds WSW 10 mph

UL has definitely been on the “short end” of ACC officiated games, but we are not the only conference team to experience it, as GT fans believe they are equally victimized. I know the school must be careful in expressing itself, but somehow our SID needs to put together a video montage of bad calls and share it with a sympathetic ESPN TV analyst for some National exposure. Unless it becomes a theme …… the ACC officials will never acknowledge or address it.

Publicly humiliating them by pointing out their errors is likely not the way to go. That’s a conversation for behind the scenes. We are still the “new guy.”
