Jeff Walz is reloading. They are adding two GaTech transfers and a Cal transfer. All three were McDonalds All Americans and the one was ACC Frosh of the Year. GaTech played at UofL in January so I would guess that experience showed them the commitment to UofL’s women’s basketball.

No question. He "honored his contract"...LOL.

And he keeps killing it anyway...

Definitely a new world with transfers. The ability to add key pieces with experience is going to really help the elite teams. Coaches just have to manage the roster.

Why don't any of the 3 have to sit out a year? They aren't graduate transfers are they? Are women's basketball transfer rules different, or were the 3 granted exceptions for some reason? Anyways...welcome ladies!

Yes, however the NCAA seems willing to clear players especially when there are outside factors the led to their transfer i.e. GT coach being fired for abuse. Fields was cleared for OSU because he was bullied or something at GA.

Jeff does a little more than meet minimum requirements. And that's regardless of how his new boss wants to glibly refer to his commitment and abilities...

We are all excited about what Walz is doing and that he believes in the leadership of the athletic department. Keep up the great work Coach Walz and AD Tyra!

At the moment, I question the payback we get on just one guy's contract in athletics...

There was nothing about this thread that should’ve triggered negativity. I realize you’ve pigeon-holed yourself into an anti-Mack and anti-Tyra position but there is still the opportunity to change your ways! Great things are happening with UofL athletics and the future is bright! Don’t get bogged down with bitterness and cling desperately to a rigid position. It’s ok to be a dissenting voice but it’s also important to see progress where progress is being made. Perhaps this Easter could be a time of rebirth and renewal for your anti-Mack and anti-Tyra perspective. Best wishes!!
