Satt has done fairly well against Wake. The win a couple years ago when Conley came in was on the road and I think Satt’s only win over a ranked opponent. Last year we got screwed by the refs.

Another one of many since becoming ACC.

We have to get good enough that two or three wrong (bad) calls a game doesn’t beat us against non “elite” teams.

Then MAYBE it will stop.

As far as the spread…Vegas knows. And that gives us a punchers chance.

I look for it to go up. Lot of money will go on WF -5

I’m thinking 7-8 range by Friday, unless something major happens like an injury.

I would love to win this but with WF’s ability to put points on the board and our inability to do so I just don’t see it.

Their strength is Louisville weakness. The secondary is going to have to play a really high level to give them a chance. We just haven’t seen it yet.

We would have to get to Hartman early and often. It creates a dilemma for CBB- help in the secondary or be Sir Blitzalot. I think the latter is our best chance. You also don’t mention Wake’s defense, which is, shall we say, unterrifying.

I haven't watched any WF this year. Are they a long ball quick strike offense or a "take what they get" type of offense?

Wake averages 41 PPG. In the one game they lost, against Clemson, they put up 45 points. That was in two OT's, but still, they can put up points.

The Cards are playing better.

I watched a good portion of the WF game Saturday and was really impressed by Hartman and the receivers. They were so efficient in the passing game that they really don’t need a big time RB. It was disheartening. I just kept thinking, “Dear Santa, could you please bring us a QB who will stand in the pocket and make accurate throws for Christmas?”.

Cards have to get pressure on Hartman. Cannot play zone without pressure or Wake will score over 40 points.

On offense, Satterfield has to game plan around big plays. If he continues with the 7 minute drive to keep Wake's offense on the sideline, I don't forsee success.

Maybe if we scored TD'S after long drives instead of FG'S and unsuccessful 4th down plays, but we haven't seen that in awhile.

I've watched Wake's 1 point win over Liberty and the Cards coaching staff should study that film.

CSS sent Malik in off the bench with a new play on a 4th down attempt without calling a timeout against Pitt.

You guys forget that their defense is actually worse than ours. If we win the turnover battle, we have a chance.

I'm finding it hard to understand why some still consider Louisville has a weak defense. We lead the ACC in sacks and 2nd in TFL. We're one of the top ACC teams in interceptions.

We're not great, mostly due to injuries, but opponents have to work extra hard to secure their QB against this Cards team. This is the advantage the Cards have over Wake. If we can get to Hartman and create turnovers, the Cards offense should be able to move the ball against Wake's defense.

If their OL keeps him off his back it could be a long day for the defense, but again, Cards should score against Wake's defense.

I'm feeling it for some reason. Maybe it's just the Pitt game. Those ACC announcers were constantly sharing their shock at how good the Cards defense looked. Maybe there's some momentum?

Louisville 38
Wake Forest 31

It's the big plays that kill this defense, the big gainers. Most seem to come from blown assignments. It'll take a herculean performance like we saw in the second half Saturday night to give us the best chance.

They’re defense hasn’t stopped us much either
To be fair, teams don't have to stop our offense this year, we do that all by ourselves with Stretch Play Scottie calling the plays and our hotdog QB.

Hoping that Sam’s stylist takes too much time getting his stubble just right causing Sam to be late for practice resulting in a one game suspension.

Or, maybe Wake leaves a playbook laying around someplace that we find prior to the game……nay….that would never happen!!!!

WF. is like 10.4 they are currently the most efficent offense in D1 vs our defense that is very inconsistent it's like oil and water . This can and will probably be bad. Especially the secondary in which i really thought was going to be the strong point .

Look at the box score in Wake's game against Liberty. They're not some juggernaut. Cards defense is the reason for the 4 wins and there's a lot of momentum right now.

Cards may lose but I don't see a blowout loss. Hartman is not as accurate when he's under pressure so I expect a lot of blitzing. Cards scoring is the key to winning though because Wake's going to have some big plays.

I like the Cards are home underdogs and Wake Forest is not some guarantee home favorite like Clemson is. I really like the Cards chances.

Satterfield and team better play like the season and Satterfields job is on the line (because it is) Throughout Satterfields time here the team always seems to get complacent after a little success. Can't happen this game. They better come out with their hair on fire and playing for their lives. Nothing else will get it done.

Show me Satterfield.!
Show me Cards. !!

Let's F'n Go !!

I agree, if we can't get to Hartson, he will straight up carve our secondary into finely slice lunch meat.

Now, the offense better show tf up in this one or it won't matter.

I’ve seen the spread as low as WF -3.5. Vegas set it low, then the gambling public bets it lower. I guess I’m missing something.

Tickets are going fast. The forecast and the win over Pitt look to be getting folks out of their chairs and out to the game Saturday. Expect a raucous crowd which the team will feed off of. Not saying it’s gonna be sold out but…
