Here’s my only comment about the Vols. Consider me as one who wondered if the hiring of Rick Barnes was a smart move, especially after two really bad seasons. I think it shows you why it is important that coaches get an opportunity of more than 1 season to develop and build their team with their own identity, no matter how many other coaches players you have. Imagine if UT fired him after 1 season? But who knows he could suck next year or year after. It’s called trust and maybe because of all the issues surrounding U of L, that’s probably the one thing this school lacks.
