Volleyball vs Ball State

A bird battle in second round NCAA Volleyball today with the Louisville Cardinals hosting the Ball State Cardinals at the LNFCU tonight at 6 p.m.

Louisville advancing over UIC 25-11, 25-20, 25-11 and Ball State pulling a mild upset over Michgan in the opening round. It just hasn't been a good week for Michigan women's sports in our city.

Louisville will go up against a northern Cardinals team that is quite good at blocking. Guess what? UofL is, too...

Look for Anna DeBeer, Anna Stevenson, Aiko Jones and Claire Chaussee to test BSU early and often at the net.

It should be a fun one. Sadly, the stupid NCAA doesn't see the importance of this one and had delegated the live feed to bottom feeder ESPN+. At least we get Sean Moth. For some reason they keep inviting Patty Norton back for (lack of) color analysis. Take a shot every time she squeaks a variation of "Ooooh" . You'll be hammered before the first set is over.

What I don’t understand about the ACC network is why don’t they have the volleyball ncaa tournament games on. You would think with the number 1 team in the nation being from their conference they would want to help promote their success. I scanned through my TV guide and I didn’t see any volleyball tournament games anywhere.

NCAA controls, and has given ESPN the NCAA Volleyball broadcast rights. They arent sharing with ACCN,SECN, BIG10 or anyone else.

The women's volleyball and basketball teams are kicking butt. Thank You for carrying the athletic hopes and dreams of the fans. So much fun to watch.

The UL Ladies continue to “take care of business”, increasing their opportunities for an NC. This sport is very competitive, evidenced by the upsets so far. UK and WKU were beaten yesterday, and the defending NC Lady Wildcats lost at home in what had to be the biggest surprise so far.

If they aren’t sharing the games with anyone then they should be broadcasting the games. I saw a whole bunch of junk and reruns on ESPN instead of the volleyball tournament matches.
