A battle of #2 and #4 today in the LNFCU.

Pittsburgh Volleyball come to town for a noon match on the ACC Network.

This one has been sold out for awhile.

Who to be aware of on Pitt's squad? Any discussion of Pitt would be incomplete without talking about Kayla Lund, and Chinaza Ndee. They have been the engine of Pitt squad for several years now, with Lund being listed as a Graduate Student, and Ndee as Fifth Year. Both are, perhaps a bit undersized. Lund as a 6'0" outside is maybe only slightly so, but Ndee has mostly been playing in the middle and is listed at 5'11". Both are putting down kills at a pace upwards of 3.5 a set.

Leketor Member-Meneh (who's name seem to give the Notre Dame play-by-play guy fits...I'm not sure where he kept finding an "s" in there), has come on strong this year to get some attention as well. A DEFINITELY under-sized senior outside hitter at 5'8", she's on a 3.36 kills per set pace this year.

It should be a good one. Keep the Cardinals winning streak so far this weekend, VolleyCards!

Leketor is fantastic! Wow. Heavyweight battle going on and it is such a thrill to watch our phenomenal volleyball team. I’d be interested to know what recruits they have coming in for next year. I’d think they should be pulling in very highly rated players.

In this 3rd set I would not take Chaussee out at all she is playing great when she is in. We have a couple of other players that are making missteps. Both teams are really good this is like an NCAA match. I wish we would be making more adjustments than what we are.

If you have just started watching volleyball and are just now learning the strategy of the game you find out it is more complicated than what you thought. It is like all sports they run plays, they attack the weakest link of the opponent and they have a game plan that is different for every opponent. It is not just trying to out athlete the opponent. That being said is was a good win today and I am sure the rematch in Pittsburgh will be a barn burner. Props to our fans at the match they did their part and the volleyball players deserve the support.

I’m one of those and I’m willing to learn the game. I love soccer too but I don’t know the game rules???? Field Hockey, I’m just as confused.
