That has nothing to do with being given a "shot" look at SKJ for UK. He's riding the pine because he's just not as talented as the other freshman and the upperclassmen ahead of him. You get your shots in practice, if you don't perform there, you're not going to in a game. Sometimes other people are just better, it has nothing to do with what they were ranked in HS or anything else coming in. The number one reason people transfer is because they aren't as good as the people starting over them, not because they aren't getting their fair "shot" at it. If the kid was the best player I have feeling RP would have started him.I remember early in the season Kentucky having 3 freshmen who couldn't play defense that are now in the sweet 16. There are plenty of programs that would have given him a better shot than he gets here. Transfer!!
