Very Odd basketball year!!!!

Its the first week of February and there so many top rated basketball programs that already have 6 or 7 losses compared to this time last year. Is it because those top programs have recruited so many one and done players, while other programs have kept good quality players for 3 to 4 years. This years March tournament is up for grabs. There is no dominate team.

It does feel like a # of teams are going to have the chance to get hot at the right time.

That said one of the usual suspects will probably take it.

This could finally be the year for Virginia.

Following Kansas upset on Saturday my son said this could be the year we see a 16 take out a 1 in the tourny. Could be.

I doubt seriously that we will win it, so I wouldn’t mind seeing someone like Virginia take it.

They’re definitely going to have a shot. I think if you gave me the following four teams I’d give up the field:

Virginia
Villanova
Duke
Michigan State

But, this year’s tourney will definitely be a crapshoot!

I like your four teams a lot and would likely be my choice were I to pick four. But all are very beatable. I will not go as far as saying we will see a 16 over a 1 seed, but I do see a lot of mild upsets with the 2 to 11 seeds.
