PointsBet has UofL over/under at 5.5. Big yikes! A lot of folks on here haven’t really looked at our opponents. The thoughts of 8-9 wins are mostly wishful thinking I’m afraid.

We have 3 games against very poor teams. Cuse, USF and JMU. 2 games against teams we will be heavily favored in BC and UVA. That is 5 wins.
ESPN's FPI rankings of the other 7 games 4 Clem, 9 Pitt, 20 UK, 26 NCst, 30 Wake, 31 FSU, 33 UCF and 36 UofL
no way we go 0-7 against that group. We get Pitt, NCst, Wake and FSU at home.
If it is 5.5, I will take the over all day.

With UVA getting their QB back and the game being in Charlottesville I find it hard to believe we’d be heavily favored
The ASU commitment is huge, and while I am not prepared to start predicting wins this early …… having a real talented and experienced NT that tips the scales at 300 lbs is most encouraging. It does appear that CSS and his staff have at least made an effort to address the obvious positions of need.
I expect this 2022 roster has enough potential on the offensive side to score points, but still not sure our defense will be able to get off the field.

We probably were with Lamar and yet it took a miraculous drive and a beautiful Lamar to Jaylen pass to win the game.
Heavily was probably the wrong word. I was thinking 4-5 pts. Armstrong is back, but they lose all 5 starters on the Oline. Given UVA's schedule, they should be 5-0 going into our game, so it may be closer to a pick'em.
Caesars has the O/U at 6.0. I am still taking the over.
